Annemarije Brussen obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Law and her Master’s degree in Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she gained valuable practical experience through an internship at a law firm specializing in civil law.
During her master’s programme, Annemarije joined JKR Advocaten, where she gained strong insight into criminal law practice in her role as a legal secretary. Immediately after completing her master’s degree, she continued to develop her career at the firm as a legal assistant. During this period, she acquired extensive knowledge and experience through her involvement in various criminal cases and her direct contact with clients.
Since August 2024, Annemarije has been working as a lawyer at JKR Advocaten. Through her accumulated knowledge and experience, she has developed into a driven and meticulous lawyer who is committed to achieving the best possible results for her clients. Personal contact and the interests of her clients are central to her work: she values clear communication and an accessible approach. Calmness, trust, and diligence form the core of her working style.
Annemarije represents clients in a wide range of general criminal law cases, including property offences, drug and violent offences, sexual offences, traffic cases, and driving licence proceedings. She also provides assistance in matters of penitentiary law.
